What is Digital POS?

Bijlipay Digital POS is a next generation POS device, which combines the speed of a GPRS POS terminal and convenience of mPOS by offering digital receipt & signature capture.

The Digital POS is a standalone device which works through GPRS network to accept credit/debit card payments anywhere, anytime.

It’s accepts all kinds of cards!! It’s paperless!! Its wireless!!

How to operate a Digital POS transaction, does it work like any other POS?

Yes it does, but it is paperless and without any fixed telecom connection

Just enter the sales amount, swipe the credit card or debit card and send the digital receipt to customer’s mobile number all through the Digital POS terminal on the go.

The amount will be credited to the merchants account the next day.

How long does it take for SMS/Email receipt to reach the cardholder?

Within 10 seconds of a successful transaction.

What are the other charges for using Digital POS service?

There are 3 types of charges.

Device Charges - A one-time or a rental fee for the device.

Transaction charges – banking charges per transaction upto a maximum of 2% + service tax per transaction. Please check for the current applicable tariffs

NEFT Charges – As levied by the bank

Do I have to have/open an account with any specific bank to use Digital POS?

No, you don’t. Your money will be transferred to your preferred bank account that you specify at the time of enrolment.

Do I need to have a Current Account to use the Digital POS?

Yes, you would need a Current account to use our Digital POS for any kind of business but if you are an individual professional we will consider a Savings account on a case to case basis.

How does the cardholder/customer get a charge slip/receipt?

The cardholder can enter his mobile number on the Digital POS after successful payment. Charge slip will be sent to the mobile number.

Do I need to have a Current Account to use the mPOS?

Yes, you would need a Current account to use our mPOS for any kind of business but if you are an individual professional we will consider a Savings account on a case to case basis.

How does the cardholder/customer get a charge slip/receipt?

The cardholder can choose to receive receipt via SMS or email. Once the transaction is approved, the mobile phone application will prompt for either email or mobile number. Depending on the option, the receipt will be transmitted accordingly.

Will the SMS Receipts be charged?

No, there is no charge for the SMSs.

Usage Related

How and when do I get my money?

Click on the “Settle” option at the end of business hours every day. (Preferably 9 PM), Money will automatically get credited into the bank account you specify at the time of enrolment. And the money will reflect in your account the next (working) day after transaction (T+1), after deduction of the Merchant Discount Fee & taxes

How do I void/reverse a transaction?

To void/ reverse a transaction go to the Void option, type the last 4 digits of the card number and press Void option. The transaction will reversed to your customer. This can be done for non-settled transactions only.

I bought a reader, but my account status shows inactive?

Following are the possible reasons why your account status may be inactive:

  • Bijlipay will not activate any account until all KYC (Know-Your-Customer) documentation has been received and all necessary information is duly filled out in the Merchant application form correctly.
  • This includes correct bank information for us to remit amounts into your merchant account etc.

However, please send an email to support@bijlipay.co.in if you haven't received an activation message after 2 weeks of submission.

My card reader seems to be damaged. What can I do?

When there is physical damage to the device, our service personnel will help you assess the issue and try to resolve it. If the device cannot be serviced, merchants will be advised to buy a new device. Please email us at support@bijlipay.co.in or give a call to Toll Free number 1800 2744 300 so that one of our support team members can assist you

I lost my device. How can I replace my existing BijliPay Digital POS device?

You can call on toll free number 1800 2744 300 or email to support@bijlipay.co.in and request a replacement device. Our field personnel will provide a new device and collect the payment for the replacement device.

What action can I take if the connection is lost while a payment is being processed?

In the event of network failure or timeout, we recommend trying again after a minute, as the network connection at that particular point of time might be poor.

I want to refund a settled amount back to the customer, how do I do that?

You can please call us on 1800 2744 300 or mail us at support@bijlipay.co.in along with the card details and amount. We will refund the amount back to the customer’s account the next day.

How do I know my transaction is safe?

The device complies with RBI (Reserve Bank of India), PCI PTS & EMV (L2) industry standards.

I do not have the last 4 digits of the card number, can I still void the transaction?

No, you cannot reverse the transaction without the last 4 digits of the card
